It should come as no shock that businesses, in general, experienced financial hardship this year when the significant COVID-19–related disruptions began. According to research conducted by the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative (SLEI), “…the long-term reality facing Latino-owned businesses (LOBs) is much different. They have less of a cash buffer and are less likely than White-owned businesses (WOBs) to have received funding from the PPP to help them weather the storm.”
